The best Instant Pot accessories are easy to identify: they bear the company’s ‘Official’ or ‘Genuine’ labelling which distinguishes them as manufactured by Instant Pot to specifically fit their multi-cookers. A multitude of manufacturers have jumped on the opportunity to create their own replicas often of lower quality or lacking finishing touches such as inner measurement marking on inner pots for example. The company even warns that their warranty might become void if some “compatible” accessories such as sealing rings are used with their pressure cookers instead of their own. Now which of these little wonders are best for YOU?

It might seem strange to start a review of the top Official Instant Pot accessories with the mundane lid but though extra lids can come in handy, a newcomer has joined the IP stable that has heads turning…

3. Instant Pot Steamer Inserts
Steaming with an Instant Pot vegetable steamer may well be one of the best kept secrets to living healthy, as it allows you to created quick, balanced meals in no time – and with very little cleanup required. All steamer baskets below are compatible with 6- and 8-quart cookers. Though highly popular, Instant Pot silicone inserts come with a word of warning: if you like to steam onions or garlic, you may be better off with the stainless steel mesh basket set below (e), as silicone absorbs odors which no amount of scrubbing will release.
a) Use this Green Silicone Instant Pot Steamer Basket with Handles to steam veggies, fish and more for quick, nutritious meals. This sturdy basket features raised feet which protect food from boiling water. a) Instant Pot Sealing Rings are an integral part of the safety mechanism of their cookers. BPA free and manufactured from the highest quality food-safe silicone in order to achieve the hardness and strength needed for electric high-pressure cooking, these dishwasher-safe rings are available in three sizes to fit their 3-, 5-, 6- and 8-quart models. Though the company recommends replacing sealing ring every 12-18 months, you may wish to do so every 6-12 months in order to avoid discoloration and odours:
* Red/Blue 2-pack lets you use one for sweet and one for savoury cooking;
* Clear can be purchased in 2-pack or individually.
