Hurom Slow Juicers: Slowly Does It

Hurom Slow JuicersDid you know that Hurom slow juicers juice faster than most traditional juicers, with a yield up to 35% higher AND much drier pulp? While traditional high-speed juicers typically use anywhere from 1,000 to 24,000 RPMs, Huroms operate at 43RPMs (similar to hand pressing) producing a much healthier juice, since the cellular structure of your fruit and vegetables does not get disrupted as happens with traditional high-speed juicers. The slow RPM of these Hurom masticating juicers also eliminates separation and more importantly oxidation for a healthier and fresh tasting juice. All that while remaining “blessedly quiet”!

Why a Hurom Slow Juicer?

While centrifugal juicers use high-speed blades to shred fruit and vegetables and often expel food before extracting the juice, these Hurom juicer extractors use an auger for their dual stage juicing process: first, juice gets extracted by crushing the ingredients, then the pulp gets pressed before it is ejected, producing maximum great tasting juice that lasts up to 72 hours. The masticating and pressing actions break up more phytonutrients, resulting in a richer colored juice while retaining more minerals, enzymes and vitamins (42.7% more Vitamin C + 60.7% more Vitamin A) than traditional high-speed juicers.

Hurom cold press juicers can process a wide range of fruit, vegetables, leafy greens, nuts and even wheatgrass to make juice, smoothies, nut milks and sorbets – making them highly versatile and as a result some of the best masticating juicers on the market.

Manufactured in South Korea of 100% BPA-free materials, these juicers are also safe for the whole family to use as they come without any blades or sharp parts. No need to worry about about overheating, as each juicer is equipped with a built-in cooling system with integrated heat vents to prevent overheating.

They are easy to assemble and disassemble for easy cleanup. While juicing, an inner spinning brush clean both chamber and strainer, helping reduce clogging. Being vertical, they also leave a small footprint on your kitchen countertop.

All of the following models operate with 150-watt motors (120 V, 60 Hz) at 43 RPM auger speed, come with a 4.6 ft cord and include a 10-year warranty on the motor and 2-year on parts. It is recommended that they be used for no longer than 30 minutes continuously. These Hurom juicers certainly pack a punch and come highly recommended for healthy juicing.

Juicing with a Hurom slow juicerOnce you have chosen the best Hurom juicer for your needs, you may want to keep these pointers in mind. It is easy to avoid greens getting wrapped around the screw by simply tearing up some of the larger greens before feeding them into your juicer. Another trick is to alternate between stringy veggies and more watery ones like cucumber. Comments from enthusiastic proponents of these Hurom juicers range from it being a ‘fast juicer’, ‘super easy to clean’, ‘fun and easy to use’ to simple surrender: ‘I love it!’.

If a masticating juicer is not for you after all, a slow press juicer might give you all you’re looking for.
