Here’s what this pasta press includes:
* pasta press
* dough pusher
* 6 interchangeable discs for spaghetti, rigatoni, fusilli, bucatini, large macaroni, small macaroni
* storage case for pasta plates
* stainless steel cleaning tool
Attach the KitchenAid KSMPEXTA to the hub of your stand mixer, position your selected plate, and start feeding balls of dough through the hopper, using the combo tool to push dough into the press. Cut the noodles to desired length using the built-in wire cutter… et voilà, dinner taken care of!
This gourmet pasta press is made of durable plastic housing. The storage case houses five of the plates, while the sixth sits in the pasta press. When you’re all done, snap the case onto the pasta press attachment for storage – very neat!
The bottom end of the combo tool is used to take apart the pasta press, while its flat end serves for pushing dough into the press. The wrench will likely be needed to loosen the pasta ring after making fresh pasta, and the hook is for removing the auger from the casing.
The unit measures approximately 5 ½” L x 5” W x 8 ¼” H and weighs 3lbs 4oz. The pasta ring, auger and combo tool can be washed in the dishwasher, though the other pieces should be hand washed. TIP: the plates come apart for cleaning using the tip of a knife. Note that the attachment housing should be wiped clean and not immersed in water.
